In our record books we finished creating our monthly budgets with individualized monthly expenses. We finished calculating our own expenses such as entertainment, food, clothing and bills. Using their own income and expenses they calculated how much money they have left over. They then received a 'chance' card that had a random expense or gain for a surprise event. (example: car wreck: have to pay $500, Bonus at work: $200.00) Students also viewed a video about bankruptcy and its increase in recent years especially here in Utah.
